Rifftia - Kneeling At The Feet Of Time (2018) EN

They are influenced by folk from every part of the world and, of course, by flamenco. But they also add a lot of the post-rock designs and this atmosphere that fits all the other elements well. These are the Spanish from Rifftia who last summer released an album Kneeling At The Feet Of Time.

They write about themselves that they play post-etnorock and it fits here like nowhere else. Instrumental music lead by guitars and clear drums was polished by this Hispanic-folk lifting with inspiration drawn from flamenco or Arabic culture. With no doubt, the characteristic part of their music is Leela Reisz's very much folk way of singing. Her ethnic cries fantastically fit the guitar fragments and the post-rock grandeur. The whole thing tastes best in the most post-rock track, Tamar,  in which there are suggestively atmospheric whispers and a lot of time for the music to develop.

Kneeling At The Feet Of Time costs whatever you want to pay.
