Narrative - Late Valediction (2019) EN

Once every a particularly even period of time, this blog is visited by yet another German post-rock band and they are always on a really good level. The Tübingen-based Narrative is no exception here and you can check it out on their very recent EP called Late Valediction.

They state that their music has no leading instrument but rather it's a result of even share of guitar, bass and drums sounds. As well as, and it's a common post-rock feature, samples functioning  in a way as a vocalist ersatz. The latter are here undoubtedly perfectly placed so that recorded monologues sound as if they were written particularly for the tracks on the album. Besides that, the Germans are kin on very hard, doom-esquely raw sound of guitars bringing a clear post-metal flavour to the whole thing. Definitely worth checking and assessing on your own.

Co jakiś czas, w bardzo równych odstępach, na blog witają kolejne post-rockowe kapele z Niemiec i zazwyczaj trzymają wysoki poziom. Nie inaczej jest z pochodzącymi z urokliwego Tübingen zespołem Narrative, który wydał bardzo niedawno EP-kę Late Valediction.

Piszą o sobie, ze w ich muzyce nie ma wiodącego instrumentu, a wynika ona z jednakowego udziału gitary, basu i perkusji. A także, jak w większości post-rockowych zespołów, sampli robiących robotę wokalisty. Bez wątpienia są one doskonale wkomponowane, tak że nagrane monologi brzmią jak stworzone specjalnie dla poszczególnych kawałków zespołu. Poza tym, Niemcy stawiają na bardzo twarde, doomowo szorstkie brzmienie gitary dodające całości wyraźnego posmaku post-metalu. Warto sprawdzić i ocenić.
