Da Voile - Heitt Hjortu (2017) EN

One more come back of music we like this autumn. The post-rock project Da Voile has just released new, really good album. This time the Belorussian artist with... Icelandic titles of the album and the tracks. Everyone on this planet probably knows by now that the most atmospheric music is born on the island of ice and fire, Da Voile sounds as if they want to transfer some of this magic to the concrete-filled Minsk.

The motto of the album is another surprising part: "smile, knowing that the smile will come back to you". Also the tracks titles is a mixture of good vibrations and optimistic motivation as in "Minn Draumur" ("My Dream") or "Skilja Eftir Merki" ("Leave a Mark"). Perhaps it's just stereotype that this kind of music is far from expressing joy of life and this careless approach to said life, I am still surprised.

Especially that the music itself is pretty much conservative as far as the approach to the genre goes. In the good way. There is everything you should want in a good post-rock. Beautiful compositions played with guitars and a healthy dose of noise. This time however, it brings not nostalgia but lust for life.

"Heitt Hjortu" costs as much you want to pay.
