Reverbcore - Warble (2020) EN

The Russians inspired by Pinkshinyultrablast and Boards of Canada among others, who chose probably the most shoegaze name ever, are back on my blog after three years. This time they released a short album or a long EP called Warble.

The Petersburg-based band play their version of energetic, melodic indie pop bordering with many genres including subtle shoegaze, dream pop and trip-hop. Dominant in their songs is the fresh, sunny and sweet vocals together with truly diverse backgrounds - from tropical rhythms (being the album's leitmotif honestly) and trumpets in the great Dream of Sign/Gems to piano and peaceful electronics in the title track Warble. A diverse and engaging album with a fantastic cover art that cannot be missed.
