Guitar post-rock without compromises, full of emotions and hard, loud sounds. This is what the Warsaw-based quartet Herbst, Pełka, Szmidt and Łaziuk - THE SKY IS, offers.
It's not actually that common that so purely guitar music can make me feel so much as the Poles do. Without electronic/string tear-jerkers, their music is absolutely capable of expressing both awe and sadness and powerlessness. How can they do it? Maybe it's the telepathy from the album's title. Or it's just damn well written music with balanced tracks full of coarse guitars.
So, what is the sky like? Much to say but it's definitely loud.
