The Swedish project by the name of A Cerulean State has already been making a great impression on the blog with the album I Thought You Would Give Me a Place. Today is no different as the musician comes back with the new release called Story of Winter.

As it could be guessed, the album is filled with tons of atmosphere generated by piano and violins. If those really are winter stories, it's rather an optimistic view on the season. Szwedzki projekt A Cerulean State już nas na blogu zachwycał krążkiem I Thought You Would Give Me a Place. Nie inaczej jest teraz, gdy muzyk powraca z nowym albumem Story of Winter.

Tak jak można było przypuszczać, płyta wypełniona jest toną klimatu generowanego przez pianino i skrzypce. Jeśli rzeczywiście są to historie zimowe to jest to raczej optymistyczne na nią spojrzenie. Są kawałki powolne (w zasadzie wszystkie), ale nie ma tutaj nic z przygnębiającej atmosfery skandynawskiej zimy, a raczej radość z jej magicznego klimatu.

A Cerulean State is a "lazy Lazy Swedish guy making music for imaginary movies." And just as he promises the music on his new album sounds like a filled with delicate beauty soundtrack for a Scandinavian movie. "I thought you would give me a place" is released by AMG Records.

The album is reigned by classical instruments, pure piano keys helped by violins in the album's climax moments. This combination makes a great impression throughout the whole album, but especially in those moments when it is supported by a tearful ambient in the background ("Unchanged Forever" or "Snöfall"). In his music, the artist tells a piercing story just like the best movie dramas would, you just have to listen closely to the precisely composed sounds and read through the track titles.
