Słowo Ensemble w nazwie zespołu nie jest absolutnie przypadkowe, Hypnodrone Ensemble to prawdziwy dream team niezależnego, mocno offowego post-rocka, w którego skład wchodzą genialny Aidan Baker i Eric Quach znany szerzej jako thisquietarmy. Wspomagani są oni między innymi przez Simona Goffa (współautora zeszłorocznego hitowego albumu Bakera Noplace) i trzech (!) bębniarzy. Nowa płyta zespołu usiała być więc fantastyczna. 

Sami siebie opisują jako "powiększony wielorytmiczny kolektyw avantrockowy" i to tylko rozbudza apetyt. Mocne, przestrzenne bębny nadające formy jazzująco-ambientowemu noise'owi, tak w wielkim skrócie brzmi ten album. Ten koncert na przestery zachwyca jakością, wykonaniem i duszą. Od razu czuć siłę wpływających na siebie muzycznych osobowości owocującą tym niebanalnym pięknem.

Ważni są też zaproszeni goście dostarczający wzbogacających całe doświadczenie instrumentów: skrzypiec (wspomniany Goff), gitary barytonowej (Du Champ) i syntezatorów (Diego Ferri). Najlepiej muzyka zespołu brzmi w najdłuższych utworach płyty, takich, gdzie jest miejsce i na rozpęd i na monstrualną dawkę kreatywności. Palce lizać.

Hypnodrone Ensemble - Plays Orchestral Favourites (2018) EN

The word Ensemble in the band's name is there absolutely not by mistake, Hypnodrone Ensemble is a real dream team of the independent, very much alternative post-rock and includes Aidan Baker and Eric Quach, better known as thisquietarmy. They are supported among others by Simon Goff (coauthor of Baker's lat year's hit album Noplace) and three (!) drummers. So their new album had to be fantastic.

They describe themselves as "expanded polyrhythmic avant rock collective" and it only increases the hype. Heavy, atmospheric drums providing the form to the jazzing/ambienting noise, this is the album in short. This concert on distortions amazes with quality, performance and soul. From the very beginning you can feel the power of music giants inspiring each other in creating this beauty.

The invited guests are extremely important as well, they provide the instruments that enrich the experience with violins (the already mentioned Goff), baritone guitar (Du Champ) and synths (Diego Ferri). The music sounds best in the longest tracks where there's place for composition's development and this monstrous dose of creativity. Finger-licking good.
