Daniel Knowles and Jennifer Farmer from California are a married couple who also make up a music duo called The Know. The mutual love here is combined with the love to Beach House, Julee Cruise or The Jesus and Mary Chain which obviously leads to a good quality of dream pop. You can listen to it on wearetheknow.
Released by Shore Dive Records, the EP is the album's first longer material after some singles shown over the last two years. Someday Maybe is the album's highlight with the full control over the thick carpet of oneiric noise skillfully married with delicately catchy vocals by Farmer. It's a great example of this lynchian pop that is able to be mercilessly atmospheric as well as quite well catching the ear. It's really, really good for a debut, but this is a tricky statement as both artists have already some meaningful experience, Knowles was a member of Amusement Parks on Fire while together they also played in a band called Ghostel. Now they debut yet again and they do so with such a class. Definitely a project to look at.]
