Both the catchiest and the dreamiest band of Albania come back to Łabandzi Śpiew. Since "Future Attitude", the musicians managed to release an EP "Altered" only to come back now with another long play called "Ikin Vijnë" and show the world their electronic shoegaze.

The title of the album means literally "Come on". And fittingly, "Ikin Vijnë" seems to be more mature and better written, as if the duet Franc Kurti and Dina Hajrullahu wanted to show the world that they are ready to be included into the European first league of electronic music. It's visible even in the cover art that combines the Balkan past with the present times in an intrigue way, the history and minimalism.

The best part of I Tpame I Tvrame's music is the way they build up tension and atmosphere of danger that cannot be ignored. It's audible both in the ghostly "Who You Used To Be" or unsettlingly true "Sin" based on thick bass line and short vocals phrases. But not only, the whole album is made with this on mind, plus the diverse, sometimes more atmospheric, sometimes more danceable music and melancholic, emotion-deprived vocals by Hajrullahu.

Najbardziej przebojowy a zarazem eteryczny zespół Albanii powraca na Łabandzi Śpiew. Od "Future Attitude" muzycy zdążyli wydać EP-kę "Altered" by teraz powrócić z długogrającym "Ikin Vijnë" i pokazać światu swój elektroniczny shoegaze.

Tytuł albumu oznacza ni mniej ni więcej a "Naprzód". I tak "Ikin Vijnë" wydaje się być dojrzalsze i jeszcze lepiej napisane, tak jakby duet Franc Kurti i Dina Hajrullahu chciał pokazać, że jest gotowy na wejście do pierwszej ligi europejskiej elektroniki. Widać to już po okładce, która w pasjonujący sposób łączy bałkańską przeszłość z teraźniejszością współczesnego świata, historia i minimalizm.

Siłą muzyki I Tpame I Tvrame jest budowanie napięcia i niedającej się zignorować atmosfery zagrożenia. Słychać to zarówno w upiornym "Who You Used To Be" czy choćby niepokojąco prawdziwym "Sin" zbudowanym na grubym basie i krótkich frazach. Ale nie tylko tam, cały album stworzony jest z tym na myśli, a przy okazji z różnorodną, czasem bardziej klimatyczną, czasem bardziej taneczną, warstwą muzyczną i melancholijnym, oszczędnym w emocje wokalu Hajrullahu.

Let's broaden the borders of the blog with one more country. Who has heard about coldwave mixed witha  solid dose of electronic music straight up from Albania? We all have now thanks to a duet Franc Kurti and Dina Hajrullah that make up I Tpame I Tvrame.

"Satori" means hot beats played alongside cold as ice guitar backgrounds. Who would say that such a combination is even possible? But it is and it sounds really good. But it's only a beginning. Already the next track, "The Calling" attacks with a louder wall of sound with melodies played on thick bass strings and greasy beats. The whole impression is built with minimal effort and this kind of minimalism can and should be admired.

The one song that really draws attention is "Future Attitude" with the repertoire is broaden with clear electronic sounds and, first of all, Dina's vocas that sound as if it was taken from a shelf between British coldwave and American trip-hop. Fits perfectly. And the whole thing climaxes in "Distress" in which no one really knows what genre it really is and no one really care anymore.

Poszerzamy granice bloga o kolejne państwo. Kto słyszał o zimnym coldwave'ie skojarzonym z solidną dawką elektroniki prosto z Albanii? Teraz my wszyscy. Dzięki duetowi Franc Kurti i Dina Hajrullahu czyli I Tpame I Tvrame.

"Satori" to gorące bity zagrane na zimnych jak lód gitarowych tłach. Kto by pomyślał, że takie połączenie jest w ogóle możliwe. Tymczasem nie tylko jest ale również brzmi nadzwyczaj dobrze. Niemniej jest to tylko przygrywka. Już kolejny utwór, "The Calling" atakuje głośniejszą ścianą dźwięku z melodią wygrywaną na grubych strunach basu i tłustych samplerach. Wszystkie wrażenia wywoływane są przy minimalnych nakładach, można i należy bardzo cenić tego typu minimalizm.

W pamięć zapada natomiast od razu "Future Attitude", utwór w którym do repertuaru dochodzą bardzo wyraziste elektroniczne dźwięki i, przede wszystkim, wokal Diny brzmiący jakby leżał w szufladzie dokładnie pomiędzy zimnofalowymi brytyjskimi a trip-hopowymi z Ameryki. Pasuje idealnie. A wszystko osiąga zenity w "Distress", w którym nie wiadomo już jakiego gatunku się słucha i czy ma to jakiekolwiek znaczenie.
