The next stop among Finnish music as a nighttime stop. Stars as Lights is a project "aiming to be the background music for beautiful moments" as Lauri Paavolainen, who is a person behind this cosmic name, writes on SaL FB. Among his inspirations we can find the whole spectre of post-rock from Hammock to The American Dollar and now you can be sure that it is not just *some* soundtrack for your life.
The very first sounds of the first track sound like shimmering stars explaining the name of the project. If the ambient backgrounds and guitar moments are the dark firmament of the sky, the sounds of piano make the stars shining on the path beneath our feet. Only sometimes the idle trance we are introduced to by SoL is broken. Like in "Guided Through Flames" in which, as could be guessed, we are being disturbed by a sudden change of pace and more guitar music. And even some airy vocals.
The whole thing makes an album about navigation through moments and years. Star constellations can be your maps and paths always lead to the one and only person. It's impossible to get lost then, right?
