I Know, druga płyta długogrająca od japońskiego artysty ambientowego Koji Itoyamy, który "tworzy nostalgiczną muzykę będącą mieszanką field recordings i elektronicznych dźwięków". Bardzo nastrojowa i bardzo spokojna, tak dobrze pasuje do zaczynającej się jesieni.

Wydany przez świetnych gości z Hidden Vibes album zaczyna się od wypełnionego pięknymi klawiszami kawałku o swojsko brzmiącym tytule Jola, który w końcu pogrąża się w lekkim dronie. Przepiękny jest następny kawałek, Utopia, i jego ledwo słyszalny wokal i jeszcze subtelniejszy akompaniament przypomina mi nieco Jónsiego i jego ambientowe wycieczki. Podobnie jest z Kisha  a następujący po niej Perlan dodaje jeszcze większą dawkę eteryczności. Tak naprawdę każdy zakątek tej płyty zachwyca i trzeba ją odkryć samemu dla siebie. A ja bardzo polecam.

Koji Itoyama - I Know (2020) EN

I Know, the second long play from the Japanese ambient artist Koji Itoyama, who "creates nostalgic music that is a mixture of field recordings and electronic sounds". Super moody and very peaceful, so well fitting the beginning of autumn.

Released by the cool guys from Hidden Vibes, the album starts with the beautiful keys-filled track called Jola (which for Polish speakers sounds very familiar), that eventually drowns in some light drone. Absolutely beautiful is the next song Utopia and its barely audible vocals and even more subtle backgrounds, reminding me of Jónsi and his ambient adventures. It's similar with Kisha  while the following Perlan adds even more ethereal vibes. Actually, each and every track on the album brings awe and has to be discovered by the listeners themselves. And I can only recommend it from the deep of my heart.

Visionary Hours - Coalescence of Form (2020) EN

Visionary Hour is Hayden Berry, musician from Hebden Bridge, UK, whose unique music comes from "combining the sound of strings, guitar, voice, flute and clarinet". We have a chance to admire it on the exceptionally moody album Coalescence of Form .

His instrumental ambient is impressive with the clear and original sound. Based on a thick bassline In Motion Slow or directly thrown on the audience as an engaging, quite dark soundscape. Some really uncanny moments I discovered include zither (judging by the song's title) -dominated Zithering, charming violins in Time Keeps Me in Her Shadow or lively drum rhythm in Still at the Point. However, each one of the compositions on the album has something special and that's why the whole thing is really good to listen to.

Oh and Berry seems to have some connections to my city Kraków but I couldn't just found out wat exactly. Still, an interesting piece of trivia.

Visionary Hour to Hayden Berry, muzyk z angielskiego Hebden Bridge, którego wyjątkowa muzyka bierze się z "łączenia dźwięków smyczków, gitary, głosu, fletu i klarnetu". Podziwiać można ją na niezwykle nastrojowym wydaniu Coalescence of Form .

Jego instrumentalny ambient imponuje wyrazistością i oryginalnością dźwięku. Budowane na mocnej linii basu w In Motion Slow albo wprost rzucony w słuchacza w postaci wciągającego, dość mrocznego soundscape'u. Kilka naprawdę niezwykłych momentów, które odkryłem to zdominowana przez dźwięki, sądząc po tytule, cytry Zithering, urokliwe skrzypce w Time Keeps Me in Her Shadow czy ożywczy rytm bębna w Still at the Point. Tylko że każda z kompozycji na płycie ma w sobie coś specjalnego, dlatego tak dobrze się jej słucha.

Aha, w dodatku Berry ma też jakieś związki z Krakowem, ale nie udało mi się znaleźć żadnych szczegółów. Niemniej, ciekawa informacja.
