pg.lost - Key (2012) EN

2012 is already a distant past but there's an important reason to get back to "Key" and pg.lost. This reason is called "this year's best concert" which will take place tomorrow in Wrocław's Progresja. It is easy to say why it's going to be so big, pg.lost will be... only a supporting band! Still, it ust be a great honour to support such post-metal legends as Mono and Alcest. There's no regretting the Swedes nor your money - if you have a chance, quickly get your tickets!

pg.lost have already newer albums, obviously, but "Key" can be listened to on Bandcamp. And, again, no regretting, this album is one of the best of its genre. The quartet from Norrköping is characterized by the way they combine differences - although their songs are heavily influenced by melancholy that makes us feel as if being in the band's cold home country, there's still room for heavier, or even rock'n'roll like sounds.

"Key" starts with the chaos of "Spirits Stampede" from which their music gets more and more melodic with occasional guitar bangs, in "Vultures" it becomes quite epics, just like those vultures in the air only to transform into an apocalyptic anthem in "I Am A Destroyer" (no surprises here). The band is "an orchestra of the heart, a playground for the long lost sporadic thoughts of giving in or getting back" and they play music so intimate that some may take it for something extremely personal, just like one American who tried to impress a label by presenting some pg.lost's material as his own.

"Key" can be bought for 10$.
