How to Be Dead - In Space (2020) EN

So it happened that this is the second concept album about space this week on my blog. This time it was created by an artist known as How to Be Dead. However, musically speaking, it's absolutely different thing, the British creates lo-fi space rock that we can listen to on an album called In Space.

From the very beginning it's clear that this is a very DYI project but truth be told, I don't care much. Especially that it's easy to notice the obvious talent for combining catchy tunes with shoegaze/space rock atmosphere. Loud, aggressive guitars lead the way for the album with their quick pace and it definitely adds to the overall attractiveness. And track A Million Ways to Die in Space can easily become an instant hit, it marries dynamic composition with neurotic vocals so well-fitted to the somewhat ridiculing, somewhat climactic lyrics.

On the other hand, if only the sound quality was better, the album could be better visible on the rich space rock scene in Britain. It doesn't change the fact though that the first, catchy part and the second one, drowning in airy and noisy sounds (with great Is There Anyone Out There?) make good impression.

In Space costs 3 GBP.
