This Will Destroy You, Explosions In The Sky, Mogwai, already the list of inspirations suggests that we deal with an extremely interesting project. The Swedes from Feed Me To The Waves recorded the following tracks already two years ago, but they've been released only recently on the band's second EP.
Their music is classic, atmospheric, guitar-oriented instrumental post-rock. The tracks here are long enough for the music to properly develop and keep the tension as the drum-marching music finishes with effective ending (Weave Your Fur (Landfish), The Open Narrows). Together with the guitars, the atmosphere is built by violins and some sounds of a trumpet.
The leit motif of the band's works is the wild, untamable power of nature and the musicians put into it a lot of the Scandinavian spirit. It's clearly heard not only in the epic fragments of the tracks, but also for example in the first blizzard-ish sounds of It's Really Nice Weather Down Here, a track that is perhaps the best example of how wild and untamable the Swedes' music is.
