Kármán Voh is one of the strangest things I've recently listened to and which can still be labelled somewhere around "guitar music". That's why I had to bring them here. Boston-based band admits to being inspired by krautrock Faust, ambient Stars of the Lid and shoegazing My Bloody Valentine - does anybody still have any doubts that it just can't be a normal music?
It's enough to have a look at the long "Remember the Jam Machine" that first attacks with uncoordinated random noises for three minutes only to develop into something like psychodelic rock for dancing with occasional solo on wheezing trumpets. The most interesting parts are "Statk Compass" where a Suuns-like vocal appears, "Air Raid Out" with lively backing vocals and "Almagest", another psychodelic anthem. Good stuff.
"III Loam" goes for 7 USD.
