Quite well known Belgian project Aurora Borealis on its first album, the eleven year-old "Aurora Borealis", presented this song about saying goodbyes. Now its creator, known as Déhà, comes back to this track with the remastered version and new songs inspired by the sound of the original track.
"Goodbye" is atmospheric post-rock driving much from ambient and neoclassical music, full of deep emotions with the dramatic moment of parting ways as the most important one. Sad like raindrops keys are juxtaposed with very loud guitars sounding as if they were usually accompany metal growling, not those soul-touching sounds. The almost 15-minutes-long part one and two is, simply speaking, beauty and drama together.
Next three parts are really kept in similar mood although are much calmer, at least before the finish in the fifth part. The level of sadness, melancholia and hopelessness is the same. I don't like that much the last two tracks that are, as the artist states, more progressive. But it's a matter of taste I presume.
"Goodbye" costs whatever you want to pay.
