Alnea is a band that was created around the guitarist Riccardo Strano. The Italians are present on the music scene for seven years now but last year the band's line up was severely changed. The Last is the first album after the changes and you can safely say it's very promising.
They say that their main characteristic is combining "shoegaze guitars and epic crescendo". The epic part is clearly heard, especially that the artists like to give themselves some space and time and develop nice tension in the long stories written with artful and melancholic sounds of guitars that are meant to be "Capturing the eternal in the everyday, feeding souls with his soaring melodies and beautiful soundscapes".
It's even more beautiful when they focus more on the piano keys, as in the brilliant Farewell, or in more energetic The Last, this is when you can barely not immerse yourself in this music. The album finds its perfect finish in the piano-meeting-lively-post-rock three-parts The Lighthouse Symphony.
