One of the bands that draw inspiration from the forces of nature. The Italian Augure have released their first short album. It's short by filled with spacious post-rock aiming to musically "interpret the will of the gods through the signs of nature" including both the power of a storm and the mystery of what guides flocks of birds.
Their music is inspired by the like of Sigur Rós, Mogwai or New Zealand's Jakob and it is visible in the mindful way they compose their tracks that inevitably aim towards noisy finishes. They accomplish it with the help of energetic guitars (especially in the first part of "Grunesfeld") and with the epic (and wildly tribal too) drums (brilliant beginning of "Eis"). Eventually the album comes to an end with the most interesting track "Tides Tale" in which you just before its end, you can immerse yourself in a sea of sounds full of dangerous and exciting currents, the aim of which is to die in the noise explosion that crowns the work. Good debut from the Campania based post-rockers, I'm really curious what they will show next.
"Omnia" costs whatever you want to pay.
