Tom Adams - Particles (2019) EN

Yet another great album from Moderna Records, this time it's Tom Adams' Particles. This Berlin-based but coming from Cambridge artist with blown hair can wonderfully combine the sounds of piano with modern ones.

The latter are mostly present as modern backgrounds with quite clear basses that do, however, feel comfortable accompanied by delicate neoclassicism. Among the album's tracks the ones that stand up are Particle VI (Shadow & Light) with its rhythmical bass beats and Particle VI B (Navigators) with otherworldly atmospheric vocals. It's a pity vocals don't show much in general as Adams' high-pitched voice is probably the highlight of this music.
