Classic shoegaze with phenomenal atmosphere and dense noise. Inspired by legends like Lush, Slowdive and Ride, The Autumn Sighs from Germany have just released an EP and damn me to shoegaze hell if it's not a real treat.
The intro itself shows what we are dealing with: airy backing vocals and heavy guitars in the foreground. The vocal that appears first in "green", the song, sounds as it should sound, hidden somewhere very, very far and at the same time delicate like anything in this world. Also the melodies dictated by the vocal are clear and find their way through the guitar noise. The latter is everywhere and, again as it should be done, it delights us with its slow atmosphere as it doesn't hurry anywhere and we can absolutely feel and enjoy its presence in our ears.
Exactly every one of the tracks here makes it a tear-jerking gem for all of the shoegaze fans (the finishing of "She's His"!). The Autumn Sighs is a classic, hardcore (if I may use this word) shoegaze that changed the blinding pink to green.
