They state that they are about "oscillating between crystal-clear sounds and electronic noise" and that they "lead the audience for a journey half-way between beauty and violence" - French ORION present quite an original approach to electronics and instrumental music on their album "Bless You".
The sounds that fill it can be easily called punk-hop music. The Frenchmen combine the punk pugnaciousness and its musical anger (and somewhat short songs) with the atmosphere of instrumental post-rock and huge doses of electronics. It's already noticeable at the moment when the intro transforms into aggressive "Someone There" without any warning. And the intensity of the music doesn't go down until the final notes.
The band reaches their peak in "Play It Cold" the speed of which takes the breath away and make you want do something, anything really, here and now until you start crawling on the walls. Pure adrenaline. They do as they warned us - it's hard not to get amazed by music that is so close to sound violence ("Guiltless"!).
"Bless You" may be yours for pay-what-you-want.
