A Perfect Day is a project by the Canadian artist Nathan, who resurrects it after four years to deal with "overcoming a girl". What else could be better to do that than blackgaze music? Thanks to his misfortune we can now listen to this good album called 2016 Always & Foreverrr.
This album is also the farewell to the whole project but about this fact and other painful aspects, do read what the artist has to say on his Bandcamp page. Focusing on the music, the album is filled with damn engaging electronics which, even before the blackgaze elements appear, tracks like Modernity XXX or Clara Delevingne (who would say that her name fits perfectly to this kind of tune!) introduce the atmosphere of crushing, electronic madness. This is the electro blackgaze in which guitars let the synths sit in the first rows.
Undoubtedly it gets more metal in Watercolor, where apart from the uplifting electronics (with Violent Cold and Haze of Summer vibes) loud guitars and crazy drums can be heard too. The album is long and from the very beginning to the last reference to androids and cyberpunk takes the breath away with its monumental and inventive sound.
