Venona Pers is a British duo Jonathan Hill-Grant Weston "experimenting with sound and images". Among their inspirations they include some ambient gurus like Stars of the Lid or Fennesz but their music is more characterized by guitar roughness and post-rock sounds. It comes from their motto - "to create a blend of acoustic and electric guitars and computer technology to produce blissed out noise and guitar textures".
We can hear it on their album on which the noise covers on the foreground some more delicate sounds like piano keys just to magically transform into an acoustic guitar composition. And the whole things is covered with hoar frost. It is introduced by the cover art by Marcin Chady (:flickr:) and is only underlined by glacial song titles. Musically speaking, there are also ice cristal keys in ""December" and snowy landscapes in "Glacial". It is an album about winter.
