H V N - i live to fight no more forever (2017) PL

Ryan Davis z Chicago tworzy jako H V N i produkuje muzykę mieszczącą się gdzieś między surowym, choć łagodnym rockiem a elektronicznym trip-hopem. 

Tytuł albumu nawiązuje do filmu z lat 70. pokazującego dramat amerykańskich Indian zmuszanych do przeniesienia się do rezerwatów i opór wojskowych uświadamiających sobie niesprawiedliwość rozkazów. Przy okazji, to indiańskie plemię to Nez Perce, rozsławione w mitologii "Twin Peaks".

Płyta zaczyna się od wyrazistych gitar w utworze numer jeden, które jednak ewoluują w stronę dreampopowych teł w następnych piosenkach. Drugi na przykład, dzięki szybkiemu elektronicznemu bitowi, bliski jest już czemuś na pograniczy shoegaze'u i trip-hopu (shoe-hopu?). Zresztą jest to chyba najciekawszy kawałek na krążku z intrygującą melodią i zapadającym w umysł refrenem.

Ryan Davis from Chicago, known as H V N, creates music that could be placed somewhere between raw but also delicate rock and electronic trip-hop.

The album's title is a reference to a 70s movie showing the struggle of American Natives forced to move to reservations and the defiance of soldiers realizing the injustice behind their orders. By te way, the Indian tribe here are the famous Nez Perce from the Twin Peaks mythology. 

The album begins with clear guitars in the first track that soon develops towards dreampop backgrounds in the next songs. For example, already the second track, thanks to a fast, electronic beat. makes a song from a border between shoegaze and trip-hop (is it shoe-hop?). And this track is my personal favourite with intriguing melody and a catchy chorus.
