The project System Ready has released their second album with the Chinese label LOVECRYPT. It's worth to spend a while discovering this anonymous music that combines everything that's the best in post-rock, electronic music and rhythmic trip-hop.
What's the most interesting is actually this fact that the album's tracks strike with post-rock compositions while being created mostly from electronic sounds. They develop evenly but not fast towards an impressive finish as it is well heard in Incidental for example. Also the tracks' titles could easily be included on a post-rock album.
On the other hand, the electronic effects that accompany the guitars together with almost trip-hop rhythms are something unique in instrumental music. Especially surprising is the track called The Betrayers with its unsettling, almost industrial background and the introduction to the project's raw, spoken word vocal. It has some of this original atmosphere.
Alone costs whatever you want to pay.
