Duet made of French musicians known as Ob Nubil and Xtsxkx (or Etsuko) has released its first album signed as MNSK. Not particularly long "Ubnar Masnav" is stuffed with guitar-electronic energy that speaks really well about the musicians' future career.
MNSK's music is a fascinating mix of noise and electronics. Raging guitars are very raw, not smooth unlike in most of the post-rock bands. While the form of the songs is provided by electronic samples and fat beats. This makes the album sound like really futuristic post-rock that doesn't care about the audience's tastes, just wants to blow some steam of.
it's easier to do with the industrial atmosphere of the album that binds together those post-rock-electronic-trip-hop experiments. The interesting fact is that perhaps the most interesting track on the album is the interlude entitled "The Lodge" serving the omnipresent noise with trip-hop rhythm stemming out of it.
