Three Hunters - Three Hunters (2017) EN

I love discoveries like this one. Hunter, Hunter and Kang (wait, so the name of the project is not quite right!) makes a trio from Singapur called Three Hunters - meaning inspired by legends (Mogwai, Russian Circles, mum...) combination of post-rock, atmosphere of ambient and something even stranger - whispering.

The EP begins with the song named after the album named after the band named after the musicians - "Three Hunters" - post-rock noise with strangely happy and melodic keys, the combination that throughout the track gains a really cinematic size. And it doesn't end after 10 minutes, the only thing that changes is the title. the second part, "The Inconsequence", introduces actually loud guitars and these unbelievably atmospheric whispers, as much related to nightmares as to the feeling of being lost in a dark place. The atmosphere that is not to be copied.

And it's not even the end as the last track, "Frustration, Guilt & Empathy (For Everyone)", doesn't even really tries to sound like music, it's basically a dream you don't want to have but cannot stop. The accumulation of whispers talking about fear and frustration with instruments that are only an excuse here, creates something so dense that defying description. Wow.

Uwielbiam takie odkrycia. Hunter, Hunter i Kang (czyli jednak nazwa projektu jest myląca!) to singapurskie trio Three Hunters czyli inspirowane tuzami (Mogwai, Russian Circles, mum...) połączenie post-rocka, klimatu ambientu i czegoś jeszcze dużo dziwniejszego: szeptów.

EPka zaczyna się nazwanym od tytułu albumu nazwanego od nazwy zespołu nazwanej od nazwiska artystów, "Three Hunters" - post-rockowego noise'u z wręcz radosnymi i melodyjnymi klawiszami, połączenia nabierającego istnie kinowego rozmachu. I utwór wcale nie kończy się po dziesięciu minutach, zmienia tylko tytuł. W jego drugiej części, "The Inconsequence" to zabawy dołączają gitary z prawdziwego zdarzenia i ten niemożliwie klimatyczny szept, kojarzący się i z koszmarnym snem i z błąkaniem się po ciemnych miejscach. Niepowtarzalna atmosfera w wykonaniu Azjatów.

A to jeszcze nie koniec bo ostatni kawałek, "Frustration, Guilt & Empathy (For Everyone)", to już w ogóle senne zwidy. Nagromadzenie szeptanego tekstu o strachu i frustracjach z instrumentami będącymi ledwie wymówkę dla tych szeptów, tworzy coś tak gęstego, że nie da się tego opisać. Wow.
