The Japanese (post)-metal has usually one thing in common, there's no compromises in it. And the Tokio based Pale is no exception, they play the highest quality post-black-metal what is confirmed on their first EP.
As could have been predicted, there's no moment wasted for unnecessary preparations, the very first seconds of "Turquoise" are also first seconds of the aggressive, guitar noise accompanying the never-tired vocal. Just like other metal projects from Nippon, Pale loves to play with the pace and to go from silence to loud noise and back in seconds. In their music, there's also a place for Scandinavian doom melodies, like in the fantastic "Juvenile".
Also the most epic "Hortus Sanitatis" the monumentalism is built quite quickly and the audience is soon smashed by the rapid and aggressive guitars. Its continuation in "Gossamer" is the essence of shocking, never-braking loudness. For people who don't fear.
The EP costs 8 USD.
