Of Whales And Hunters - Burial In Space (2017) EN

New post-rocking band from the East Europe gives us everything we love about this music. Space. Of Whales And Hunters from Poltava don't really focus on the never-ending sea, they treat space very literal and with their music, they go past the orbit.

Among numerous inspirations, the band enlists the Polish export goodie - Tides From Nebula, Lost in Kiev (naturally) and Russian Circles (controversially). They know who to look up to. And I have to say, they are good.

Accordingly to what I've just written, the first track greets us with space communication covered with guitar sounds. Similarly the band uses excerpts from movies in next songs, "Azov Sea Elements" that is rich with rougher sounds and well played "Fifth of November" with dialogues from, obviously, "V for Vendetta". There are also gaming references thanks to the song about a character from BioShock and his words about the difference between men and parasites. We know what the band members are fascinated by, what they watch and play. Now we have to listen to their music.

"Burial In Space" is available for "pay-what-you-want".
